I’ve spent more than 25 years working in IT, working in both the private and public sectors, building a career around delivering reliable, secure and scalable infrastructure. I’ve worked in a wide range of technical and leadership roles, and I have a proven track record of getting results in demanding environments.
My experience covers the full stack of modern IT infrastructure. I’ve led major transformation projects including data centre relocations, cloud adoption, Microsoft 365 and Azure integration, network and firewall upgrades, SD-WAN deployments, new site launches, acquisitions and office moves. I’ve also delivered improvements in resilience, performance and security while keeping systems stable and available.
I bring hands-on expertise across Windows Server, VMware, Microsoft 365, Azure services, networking, storage, backup and messaging platforms. Over the years I’ve supported everything from complex Exchange migrations to SAN management, VDI environments, MFA deployment, cloud telephony, endpoint encryption and wide-scale collaboration rollouts.
On the leadership side, I’ve managed sizeable teams, set clear KPIs, overseen suppliers and driven cost reductions without compromising quality. I’m comfortable owning end-to-end infrastructure strategy as well as diving deep technically when needed.
Alongside my full-time roles, I’ve provided consultancy services for many years, supporting clients on an ad-hoc basis with planning, design, troubleshooting and project delivery. My consultancy work focuses on giving businesses practical, straightforward guidance and helping them stabilise, upgrade or optimise their IT environments.
